What makes Athena nutrients different
Athena was born in commercial grow rooms in Los Angeles and has earned the trust of growers as demanding as The Jungle Boys. It isn’t a shelf of separate bottles but a complete program: the bases, additives and feed chart are designed to work together with as few products as possible. Every formula is mineral, high-purity and low in heavy metals, free of organic matter and sediment, and fully soluble. That means no clogged drippers, venturis or dosing pumps, and it works just as well from a watering can as through a Dosatron or a NetaFlex system.
Athena works in any medium, but it performs best in coco, rockwool and inert substrates with controlled irrigation, where plant nutrition depends entirely on what you feed.
Athena Blended or Athena Pro Line: which to choose
Athena Blended: liquid and simple
The Athena Blended range is built on two-part liquid bases: Grow A+B for veg and Bloom A+B for flower, always in equal amounts. You dose in millilitres with a syringe or measuring cylinder. It suits recirculating systems and any kind of hand watering, and it’s what we recommend to most home and craft growers.
Athena Pro Line: soluble powder for high volumes
Pro Line pairs Pro Core, used throughout the run, with Pro Grow or Pro Bloom depending on the stage: 0.6 g of Core for every gram of Grow or Bloom, always weighed on a scale. It’s designed for drain-to-waste drip and stock tanks, and at scale it works out cheaper per litre of solution.
Our rule of thumb: if you hand-mix less than 100 litres a week, start with Blended. With a doser or reservoirs of several hundred litres, Pro pays off.

You don’t need everything to start. Grow A+B and Bloom A+B are the base. With RO water or coco, add CaMg, and PK is the first extra you’ll notice in flower.
Using Athena nutrients without mistakes
Athena runs at higher EC than most brands, so don’t dose by eye: follow the Athena feed chart week by week, with its target EC and pH. Keep these four rules in mind too:
- Measure your water’s EC before adding anything. Hard tap water means you’ll need less product.
- Never let parts A and B meet undiluted, and never mix Pro powders dry.
- Adjust pH last, once everything is mixed.
- Avoid air stones in the reservoir: with these nutrients they push pH up over time.

Are Athena nutrients organic?
No. They’re mineral nutrients without organic matter, precisely so they dissolve completely and give predictable results.
Can I use Athena in soil?
Yes, both lines work in any medium. In soil or peat-based mixes, start with lower doses and keep pH between 6.0 and 6.4.
Can I start with Blended and move to Pro later?
Yes. Many growers do exactly that as they scale up: the program logic is the same across both lines.
